On August 21, 2024, the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) issued Resolution 364/2024, which mandates that the Patent Office notify patent applicants in Argentina who have claimed priority under Article 4 of the Paris Convention to declare within SIXTY (60) days whether the priority has been granted in the country of origin.
This notification will be issued regardless of whether the examination fee has been paid or the application’s stage.
Failure to comply will result in the application being considered abandoned.
